Hello!

Welcome to the blogging portion of our class!

I am going to blog along with you this semester with my own reflections after we meet.  Here are some great options for creating your own free blog:

www.blogger.com (powered by Google)
www.wix.com
www.wordpress.com (be sure to use .wordpress.com for the free blogging site,  not wordpress.org)
www.squarespace.com
www.medium.com

Don't forget syllabus guidelines for weekly entries as follows:

You will create and keep a course blog throughout the semester, using a blog platform of your choice. You should write a weekly post that engages with and raises critical questions about our assigned readings, reflects on class discussion, and shares any outside findings (including articles, research, media, memes, etc.) that relate to the above. Weekly posts in your Alt-Journal should be at least 250 words and posted before the following class session to earn points.  Keep in mind this is a blog, and in the spirit of our sub-genre of study, may take a conversational tone.

So, by each Wednesday (or before) you should have one new post.  If you'd like, your first post (due by next Wednesday) can combine both last week's class and tonight's virtual class.

Please share your blog with me via email once you create it and I'll follow. Feel free to share with your classmates, if you wish.

Happy writing!
